VIDES Italia – Organization for Women, Education, Development – is a Youth Volunteering Association, commissioned by the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians or Salesians of Don Bosco and promoted by the Italian Center for Salesian Feminine Works (CIOFS), for the promotion of women, young people and disadvantaged and poor children. Through the implementation of educational and training activities, cooperation in developing countries, child sponsorship, Universal Civil Service and Volunteering in Italy and abroad, Vides operates for a world in which every individual conduces a dignified life, based on equal distribution of material and intellectual resources, and is able to determine his or her own present and future through equal opportunities.
